Product Description
A thermal printer is a device that prints using thermal paper. Below is a detailed introduction to thermal printers:
Structural Composition
The basic structure of a thermal printer includes a thermal print head, a pressure plate, a spring, and thermal paper. The thermal print head is the component that generates heat; it is able to print content onto the paper. The pressure plate and spring are used to secure and support the thermal paper, ensuring the stability and accuracy of the paper during printing. Thermal paper is a special coated paper with a temperature-sensitive chemical substance on its surface that changes color when exposed to heat.
III. Classification
Thermal printers can be classified according to the arrangement of their thermal elements, function, color, etc.
* Based on the arrangement of the thermal elements, thermal printers can be divided into column-type thermal printers and row-type thermal printers. Column-type thermal printers have heating elements arranged vertically and are mainly used in situations where printing speed is not a high requirement; while row-type thermal printers have heating elements arranged horizontally, and their printing speed is much faster than column-type thermal printers.
* Based on function, thermal printers can be divided into monochrome thermal printers, two-color thermal printers, thermal wax color printers, and thermal sublimation color printers, etc.
